J. Douglas Dodd’s scores for orchestra and ensembles have been featured internationally in film, television, recordings, theatre and live performance. As a composer, arranger, pianist and music director, Doug has had the pleasure of composing and arranging for and performing with the:

He has composed music for hundreds of other film and documentary productions, including the scores for the award winning feature film Bowl of Bone, and short subjects Painting with Fire and Spilsbury's Coast.

COMMISSIONED WORKS

  • Composed and produced the recorded score for the Parliament Hill presentation, Symphony of Sound and Light - Reflections of Canada , an outdoor sound and light show at Ottawa's Parliament buildings.
  • Composed and orchestrated the music for John Gray's The Fat Princess, for the Vancouver CBC Orchestra's national broadcast of The Gift of Music, hosted by the late Audrey Hepburn.
  • Doug has also composed and orchestrated works for smaller ensembles including the brass quartet Cornucopia and the Prima Verra string quintet.
