Joëlle won international critical acclaim for her theatrical portrayal of the Parisian chanteuse,
Edith Piaf, the iconic singer whose recordings were heard throughout her French upbringing. Joëlle has since toured throughout 5 continents and won numerous accolades for her torch singing style and International charm. Singing in several languages, she has starred in numerous theatre productions, performed for royalty and has made several guest appearances with major symphony orchestras across Canada and the USA.

With a dynamic 40-year career, the highlights are many. A diverse array of theatre roles,
including leads in ‘Cabaret’, ‘Irma la Douce’, ‘John Gray’s Don Messer’s Jubilee’, ‘Anything
Goes’ and ‘Marion Bridge’, to name but a few. Her critically acclaimed portrayal of Edith Piaf has enjoyed a long run, with over 2,000 performances to date across North America. Off stage, Joëlle enjoyed 2 years as host and writer for Knowledge Networks ‘Arts Edge’ and was featured in the documentaries ‘Passeport Musique’ in Mali and Moncton. She is also an accomplished recording artist with eight independent albums to her name.

Her accolades include two Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards, a Juno nomination, the
‘Ambassadrice Culturelle’ award, BC Touring Artist award, and most recently, the BC Governor General ‘Queen Elizabeth’s 70th Jubilee Excellence in the Arts and Music’ award among others.

Joëlle, who lives on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, is passionate about world cultures, speaks several languages, and has traveled throughout more than 55 countries. and is looking forward to retirement when she can complete her three, as of yet unpublished, children’s books.
